Terms of Service
Effective 24 October 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the TripLuv app, operated by Sathish Kumar P, an independent developer based in Bengaluru, India (contactus@tripluv.in). By creating an account or using TripLuv, you agree to these Terms.
01 The service
TripLuv is a trip planning, group expense-splitting and travel journaling app. Features include AI-assisted itinerary suggestions, budget tracking, group expense splitting, travel journaling. Planned: hotel comparison (not available yet).
02 Your account
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account, and keep your login credentials secure.
- You're responsible for all activity under your account.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use TripLuv.
03 Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use TripLuv for any unlawful purpose
- Upload content that is abusive, defamatory, or infringes others' rights
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the app or its backend
- Use the app to harass or harm other users
04 Your content
You retain ownership of the trips, expenses, journal entries and photos you create. By uploading content, you grant TripLuv a limited licence to store and display it back to you and to any group trip members you invite, solely to operate the app. You're responsible for having the right to share any content you upload.
05 Group trips, expenses & settlements
TripLuv is a record-keeping tool, not a payment processor. Settlement entries (UPI, cash, bank transfer and so on) only record that a payment happened — TripLuv never moves, holds or processes money between users. Actual payments happen entirely outside the app, between the users involved.
You're responsible for verifying expense splits and settlements with your group before relying on them.
06 AI-generated content
Itinerary suggestions, place recommendations and cost estimates are generated with the help of AI (Google Gemini, with Groq as a backup and for journal writing) based on the trip details you provide. This content is for planning convenience only and may be inaccurate or outdated — always independently verify details such as opening hours, prices, availability, visa requirements and safety conditions before you travel.
07 Planned: hotel comparison
Hotel comparison is not available in the app yet. Before it launches, these Terms will be updated to describe how it works, including any booking partners.
08 Pricing & refunds
TripLuv is free to use during the launch period, and no payment is collected in the app. If we introduce paid tiers, we will announce them, with their prices, in advance. Because nothing is charged today, there is nothing to refund; refund terms will be published with any paid tier before it launches.
09 Disclaimer of warranties
TripLuv is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that AI-generated suggestions will be accurate.
10 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TripLuv and its developers are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the app — including but not limited to travel decisions made based on AI suggestions, disputes between group trip members over expenses or settlements, or issues arising from third-party services.
11 Account termination
You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Account → Delete Account. This erases your personal information and your own content permanently. Where you shared a trip with other people, your expense and settlement entries are kept with your name replaced by "Deleted user", so their balances stay accurate — our Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is erased and what is retained. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
12 Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will tell you about material changes with a notice in the app or by email to your account address before they take effect, and update the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
13 Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
